A near-mint example of the final Submariner to feature the aluminium bezel insert. This example is a U serial from 1996-1997, with a tritium dial that has the potential to patina, unlike newer examples of the 16610 that feature a Luminova dial.
The bezel insert is taking on a deep shade of navy/petrol blue as it fades. Coming as a watch only, the chamfers remain defined and the case is sharp with even lugs. The bezel and movement function perfectly and the bracelet with divers extension retains 11 links.
