One of the rarest Submariner references on the planet.
The 5514 is a 5513 with a helium escape valve. The reference was never sold by retailers. Rather, it was a special order from COMEX for its divers. There were at least 3 batches of 5514's delivered to COMEX. This examplee is from a later batch, as the earliest were not signed COMEX on the dial, only on the caseback.
This example represents the quintessential COMEX Submariner - tritium dial, insane yellow patina, COMEX signed on the dial, and COMEX numbers on the caseback.
As a collector, this is the one to have.
